I am using OpenEUICC (not EasyEUICC), and my external (removable) eSIM may not be configured with ARA. It can be managed normally through a USB card reader, but cannot be managed through the device's built-in card slot. Is this expected normal behavior?
Your phone supports OMAPI? Provide a screenshot of the "Compatibility Check" interface.
My phone model is Xiaomi 12, running HyperOS 2.0.9. OpenEUICC is not available, only EasyEUICC exists.
I tried enabling the 'Use TelephonyManager everywhere' option, but it still didn't work.
no idea
I have same problem. Do you have a Xiaomi phone?
Cause i have also an external esim without ara-m works with external reader fine but internal it not detected.
I think it's a problem between xiaomi and the externaal esim.
Most of esim work fine ie.g. estk, 9esim...only cheap taobao esim without ara-m not detecting internaly.
On android 12 it works partially on phones from android 13 on not anymore.

This device is a XiaoMi device, I use an External (removable) eSIM configured with ARA-M, and it can be used normally
External (removable) eSIM may not work without ARA configured on Xiaomi phones (my guess, even with openeuicc)
I used this product (model: PLUG-IN 100K) from TaoBao link, and it works internally. Plus, it's incredibly affordable — this model only costs 15 CNY.

By the way, if I don't have ARA configured, I can read the EID with the built-in LPA, but I can't do anything, and I can do it with ARA
The two images below are not configured with ARA:

Here's the one with ARA configured:
